What to sort out for your Christmas party
- Pick the date early. December evenings fill up fast, and restaurants are often booked weeks ahead.
- Let people vote on two or three dates instead of setting one.
- For an office party, settle who pays: the company, each person or a shared pot.
- If you’re eating together, ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand.
- For Secret Santa, agree on a spending limit so nobody spends too much or too little.
Common questions
- Does everyone need to sign up?
- No. People join with just their name, and nobody needs an app. Only the chat asks for an email address once, so not everyone with the link can read along.
- Can we do Secret Santa at the Christmas party?
- Yes, Secret Santa is already included. Each person only sees who they’re buying for, including whoever started the group.
- Does it work for an office party or a club?
- Yes. It works the same for a team, a department, a club or a group of friends. Anyone with the link can join, so only send it to the right people.
- Can I leave out what we don’t need?
- Yes. You can turn sections on and off before you start the group and afterwards.
